Happy Birthday ...Dad??

The last time I saw My Dad was December 1979...29 years ago. So much time has passed but I still have a whole in My soul in the shape of My Dad. Last time I was at My Mom's I found a bunch of letters from Him. It broke my heart. In those letters I discoved that His birthday is May 31, I had never know that. I am going to send Him a birthday card. I have always been petrified at the thought of contacting him and this is the first time I've felt ready. What in the hell should I say?? Keep it short. A Lightbulb Moment

I have resigned my self to someone else's lifestyle and since I do not have the same metabolism it effects me differently. Who's to blame. Perhaps no one should be blamed and there should be more understanding in the world. Then there is Real Life, and I don't want no second hand beer.

Now she says life is good again. how could this happen? She told me that late one autumn day when she was at her lowest, she watched a squirrel storing up nuts for the winter. One at a time he would take them to the nest, and she thought if that squirrel can take care of himself with the harsh winter coming on so can I. Once I broke my problems into small pieces i was able to carry them, just like those acorns, one at a time.
