Spider Fears...Where do they stem from??

This is where it stems from...holy fuck...don't know if you can tell from the picture but that was a huge spider bite. The thing about living on the coast is that things don't die in the winter. So they just keep getting bigger. I rember visiting VanCity a long time ago and I was staying with My friend Sarah (at her place on Adanac St. which happend to be the same place that Bobby lived when I first met him...wierd) and I was laying on the couch when a HUGE HAIRY THING ran accross the living room floor. I thought it was a mouse but it was too quick to be a mouse...then I saw it was a fucking spider. A wolf spider. AAAAWWWWGGGGGslkdjgofiusdgo9ausoghdkghaosdghlsdkhgal. I had no idea spider could be that big or that hairy. I jumped on the couch and tossed my water and tried to catch it but it ran under the couch. I then barricated myself in Sarah's bedroom and put clothes at the bottom of the door and did not sleep a wink.

I Know This is My 3rd Post Today But...

But is SHRIMPS really plural?? Isn't it just shrimp or am I wrong. There is a commercial that is driving me insane...oh wait...already insane but it really makes me wonder...

For the Sheeple I Shall Speek for Ewe

What what to blog about...lets check the news...
Excessive smoke breaks listed as (an) irritant by 26% in a workplace survey.
A very slow news day, but I do find this intersting. How long does it take to have a smoke? 5 minutes? By law we are allowed 2-15minute smoke breaks and 1-half hour luch break. So techically someone can have 18 smokes in an average 8 hour work day. People in the same workplace position should have the same rights. So do smokers get special privlages? That would be a managment issue. Non-smokers could probably stand outside (away from the cigarette smoke obviously) when the other people take a break...but they don't. I don't smoke (cigarettes) anymore but I so need one after talking about it!~

And on the Menu today for The Roo...Bull Penis!!

Ya, this is seriously a bulls penis dog treat...not sure how I feel about that. My friend Lisa (and Roo's groomer) gave her this treat last time we went for a buff & puff. At least they're not waisting bits from the Bull. Quite honestly I thought a bulls penis would be larger, but I quess you have to keep in mind it is dehydrated. Eeewwwww.

What

Translink Just Might be Enough for Me to get My Certificate~!~

I felt like I was going to loose my mind the other day on the Skytrain. Usially I can tollerate it but I was recently I've had a bad bout with My Lovely Friend PMS. Seriously how fucking hard is it to say "Excuse Me"!?!?!
AND...Why the hell to people stand up miniutes before the stop while the train is slowing down??? Do they think they are not going to get off the fucking train?? If you remain seated until the the train has stopped you most definitly have enought time to get off, even if your at the back of the train. If you stand up as it is slowing down all you do is just stumble around and fall on me and not say "excuse me"! Fuck.
Okay now this is what really gets my goat! They just raised the #1 Zone fair to $2.50. I am expected to pay 5 bucks a day for a 15 munite ride from hell??
Don't get me wrong...I love the idea of public transit and am happy to take it but like any service there should be standards, especially when people safty is at stake.
AND...I don't know if it is a bad company to work for but their employees are nasty. I had this Busdriver the other day who was swearing and honking at other drivers. All us Passengers were looking at each other like ?? Others didn't notice. It's funny you so become desensitised to things living in such a populated city.
I just read about another story where some one fell out of the Skytrain and was laying there for minutes going in and out of concousness and no one helped her.
A young man died last summer after suffering a secure at a skytrain platform and a woman had a stroke in transit bus and had to ride around for 4 hours cause no one helped her, there are so many stories like that. Didn't the busdriver notice this woman??
There has been many time that I have been runing to catch the bus, 3 times this week actually, and I know that the busdriver sees me and just pulls away...I am literally inches away fromt the door! The other day I almost sprained my ankle. Since then I have made a vow to not run to catch public transit. I would rather walk.
I need a bike...ya thats what I need.

Realtor’s murder chilling
February 06, 2008
Agent cancels showings in wake of death
Real estate agent Jasmine Parsons isn’t showing any properties in the next couple days.
At 22, Parsons is two years younger than fellow real estate agent Lindsay Buziak, who was murdered Saturday after being called to show an upscale house in Gordon Head.
“It’s a really scary thing,” Parsons said.
Though Parsons didn’t know Buziak well, the two young women had spoken on a few occasions.
“She said we were so much alike in so many ways,” Parsons said. “She had everything going for her.
“I got the impression that she was a really sweet girl.”
Buziak and Parsons were two of Victoria’s youngest real estate agents.
A former co-worker who worked with Buziak was shocked to hear of the murder.
“Everybody is very surprised,” said Bryan Wooley, who worked with Buziak at Maverick Real Estate Corporation until August 2007. “She was a nice girl and we enjoyed working with her. It’s a shock to find out what happened.
“She was very lively and bright and always happy.”
A Facebook group dedicated to Buziak’s memory counted nearly 800 members as of Monday. Friends, colleagues and acquaintances posted comments on the group site to honour the young Realtor.
“All I can think of is Lindsay’s infectious smile and caring personality and cannot understand why (she was killed),” Teresa Vatne wrote on Facebook.
Amanda MacDonald left a personal message for Buziak. “Buzzer, you always have been and always will be a ray of sunshine, love you and will miss you forever,” she wrote on Facebook.
Family members gathered Monday at Buziak’s mother’s home in West Saanich, but chose not to make a statement. Her aunt spoke slowly and quietly as she declined to comment on the tragedy.
Teachers and other staff at Buziak’s former high school, Reynolds secondary, were upset as well. A counsellor came to the school at 7 a.m. Monday to help staff deal with the news, said principal Alana Charlton.
Teachers who remember Buziak “are feeling really shaky right now,” Charlton said. “It’s kind of a shock.”
Buziak’s death is Greater Victoria’s first murder of 2008.
She was called to show a house for sale at 1702 De Sousa Pl. on Saturday afternoon.
Her dead body was found inside the house that evening.
Saanich police arrived on scene shortly after 6 p.m., Saturday after receiving a 911 call asking them to check on someone at the house.
Colleagues who worked with Buziak at Re/Max Camosun Realty’s West Shore office were instructed not to comment on the incident.
Jeff Buziak, Lindsay’s father, flew from Calgary to Victoria Sunday to be with the rest of the family, including Lindsay’s mother Evelyn Reitmayer and sister Sarah.

What Did You Learn Today?

I learned that you can obsess over a decision...for years...and still make the wrong choice. Certainly things would not be the same today if I had made this decision years ago.

~Music & Lyrics~

I believe there are 2 kinds of People. People who listen to music and People who listen to Lyrics. I have always been the latter. I often quote Lyrics. I have always written out lyrics. I good song is defined by what it says, for me. Up until a few years ago I couldn't hear the bass in songs. Good Lyrics are like poetry, and should be respected as so. I think I'll be putting many lyrics on this blog, I will try my very best to give credit to the artists.

WAKE UP CALL LYRICS
I didn't hear what you were saying.
I live on raw emotion baby
I answer questions never maybe
And I'm not kind if you betray me.
So who the hell are you to say we
Never would have made it babe.
If you needed love
Well then ask for love
Could have given love
Now I’m taking love
And it’s not my fault
Cause you both deserve
What is coming now
So don’t say a word
Wake up call
Caught you in the morning with another one in my bed
Don't you care about me anymore?
Don’t you care about me?
I don't think so.
Six foot tall
Came without a warning so
I had to shoot him dead
He won't come around here anymore
Come around here?
I don't think so.
Would have bled to make you happy
You didn't need to treat me that way
And now you beat me at my own game
And now I find you sleeping soundly
And your lovers screaming loudly
Hear a sound and hit the ground
If you needed love
Well then ask for love
Could have given love
Now I’m taking love
And it’s not my fault
Cause you both deserve
What’s coming now
So don’t say a word
Wake up call
Caught you in the morning with another one in my bed
Don't you care about me anymore?
Don’t you care about me?
I don't think so.
Six foot tall
Came without a warning so
I had to shoot him dead
He won't come around here anymore
Come around here?
I don’t feel so bad, I don’t feel so bad, I don’t feel so bad
I'm so sorry darling
Did I do the wrong thing?
Oh, what was I thinking?
Is his heart still beating?

"You Can't Get Shot in the Back if You Don't Run"

Mutes they like to protestto
disagree between the lines
where the mass majority hide
And on the news it’s like Mardi Grase
very night with their shirts off
to shine your ears and eyes
In a restaurant boothI
cut my toothon
pictures of our sable justice
given the facts
who can relax
so easy on death?
Love ain’t something I remember
trust ain’t something I afford no one
lately I remember to forget
can’t get shot in the back if you don’t run
can’t get shot in the back if you don’t run
My fate it lies with someone
each stranger I’m a part of
and them of I
Across continents and oceans
transplanted the Great Divide
even though the Rockies they ain’t moved none
In an airport lounge
I try and drown
the pictures of our sable justice
given the facts
who can relax
so easy on death?
Love ain’t something I remember
trust ain’t something I afford no one
lately I remember to forget
can’t get shot in the back if you don’t run
Lyrics and Music by Matthew Good
Family is complicated, Love is complicated, Work is complicated, and there must be a way to make it all easier. Drugs help.
